Delusions of Grandeur: Deciphering the Myth of Lotto Billions and Edoardo Paluan

Black and white picture of Edoardo Paluan in his days as a male model

In their ongoing efforts to reshape and improve their digital image, the team at Lotto Billions has enlisted the services of a reputational management company. One of the first actions these experts in public image appear to have taken is deleting the “Meet the Team” blogs.

This decision seems prudent given the poor reputations of the management team members – an ill-conceived series from the start.

Ultimately, the series was limited to just two members: Andrew Collinge and Edoardo Paluan (blog.lottobillions.com/edoardo-paluan), likely chosen as the most palatable faces of the group. Unfortunately, that is not saying much. Both articles were disingenuous, perhaps why their new advisers suggested their removal.

The introductory narrative about Paluan was embellished with grandiose descriptions of his professional prowess and achievements:

“Meet Edoardo Paluan, the first co-founder in this series! Edoardo is a machine learning graduate and software engineer who embodies innovation at its core. From co-founding Yo-Da to leading Nate’s growth to unprecedented heights, Paluan’s journey is defined by his pioneering spirit.

As the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Yo-Da, Paluan has been instrumental in crafting platforms that resonate with modern consumers. Yet, it was his stint at Nate, an AI-powered shopping app, where his prowess truly shone. Leading product and growth initiatives, Paluan catapulted Nate to remarkable heights, scaling it to 150 employees with a staggering $350 million valuation.”

Yet conspicuously absent from this portrayal was any mention that Paluan’s Yo-Da venture ended in ignominious failure, resulting in compulsory strike-off action by UK authorities. Subsequently, he was relegated to a mundane 9-to-5 tech role at Nate.

Paluan’s purported feats at Nate, such as propelling the company to a $350 million valuation, resemble the hollow boasts of his previous claims.

The truth is that Nate suffered a similar fate to Yo-Da, having entered voluntary liquidation in April 2024. This comes as little surprise, considering the allegations of cash being drained from users’ accounts and revelations that the AI technology they claimed to have developed and obtained investment for was unfit for purpose.

Several articles assert that the company misled investors in this regard and attempted to conceal that tasks purportedly executed by their proprietary AI were being carried out by human sub-contractors in the Philippines.

The Collapse of Yo-Da:

The Failures of Nate, a Business in Liquidation:

The article continued:

“Paluan’s expertise extends far beyond mere product development. His strategic acumen was exemplified in orchestrating a TikTok campaign that garnered a staggering 7.4 billion global views, all achieved within a minimal budget. This feat underscores not only his adeptness in leveraging emerging platforms but also his innate understanding of consumer behaviour and engagement.”

The collapse of Yo-Da and the subsequent demise of Nate are well-documented events that cast a dark shadow over Paluan’s credibility. His bombastic assertions of being a marketing genius responsible for high-performing social media campaigns do not hold under scrutiny either, particularly given his role as part of a large team, many of whom were based in the Philippines.

Despite these claims of digital marketing expertise, Lotto Billions’ online traction has been unimpressive until recently. It has just a single TikTok follower and lacklustre engagement on Instagram, most of which came from within the Lotto Billions inner circle, including Paluan himself.

This situation recently took a turn when the self-proclaimed marketing prodigy and Lotto Billions’ erstwhile “Marketing Director,” Eugene Radewych, decided to buy “likes” for their Instagram posts. However, this tactic backfired, as virtually all the accounts “liking” their latest posts were obvious “bots,” most of which were not even listed among the account’s followers. This glaring discrepancy should raise yet another red flag, joining the many already flying over the Lotto Billions brand and its team.

A cursory examination of the Lotto Billions website reveals further hyperbole, with Paluan’s purported business acumen and the superiority of their products being grossly exaggerated:

“Now, Paluan’s latest venture, LottoBillions, is poised to revolutionise gaming and betting. With seamless omni-channel experiences, LottoBillions bridges the gap between traditional retail and digital convenience, all while prioritising inclusivity and innovation.

By integrating cutting-edge tech with consumer insights, LottoBillions isn’t just reimagining lotteries—it’s transforming engagement itself.

In the realm of tech entrepreneurship, Paluan’s journey exemplifies the power of vision and perseverance. With LottoBillions, he invites us to embrace change and explore endless possibilities.”

With his fellow co-founder Nooreddin Valimahomed, a figure with a dubious reputation as a con artist, Paluan attempts to position himself as a pioneer in the online lottery industry. However, beneath the facade of Lotto Billions lies a web of deceit and deception.

The saga of Lotto Billions and its suspect team is a cautionary tale. The truth about Lotto Billions is readily accessible to those who care to look – a sobering reminder that the appearance of success can often conceal a deeper, more troubling narrative. This should serve as a warning to anyone considering investing in the online lottery industry to thoroughly check the “facts” they are presented with and recognise the fiction.
